Glamping Near Zion

Glamping is the sleep-outside-without-the-work option, and Zion has a lot of it. Our lodging guide lists seven properties. None has a Yelp rating in our notes, so this page compares them on what they are and where they sit.

West of the Park: Virgin and Beyond

These four are the polished, canvas-and-Airstream end of the spectrum. Distances are as given on our lodging guide, so check exact drive times before you plan around them. Our Virgin guide covers the town where three of them sit.

We may earn a commission if you book through these links, at no extra cost to you. Our write-ups come first; we never rank a property by what it pays. How this works.

How to Choose

  • For couples: AutoCamp Zion, Under Canvas Zion and Open Sky Zion carry our couples tag, and all three are tagged $$$$.
  • For families: Zion Wildflower Resort, Zion Ponderosa, Zion Mountain Ranch and Zion White Bison are tagged for families.
  • For stargazing: Under Canvas and Zion Wildflower both mention dark skies.
  • For value: Zion White Bison is called a more affordable alternative to the marquee glamping resorts.
  • For your own bathroom: Zion Wildflower lists modern bathrooms, and Under Canvas and Open Sky list ensuite baths.

A Gap Worth Knowing About

Because none of these have Yelp ratings in our notes, we cannot rank them the way we rank Springdale hotels. Read current guest reviews before you book, since a tent stay depends heavily on the specific unit. If you would rather have a conventional room, start with our best hotels near Zion page, or see cabins and RV parks and campgrounds for other ways to sleep closer to nature. The full list is on the main lodging guide.
