Best Hotels Near Zion
Zion is a small-town park, so "near Zion" covers a lot of ground. This guide starts in Springdale and the park itself, then works outward town by town. Yelp ratings are hardcoded from June 2026, so check current listings before you decide.
Close In: Zion Lodge and Springdale
Zion Lodge is the only lodging inside the park, and Desert Pearl Inn and Cable Mountain Lodge are two of the highest-rated stays in Springdale. For the full list of in-town choices, see our best hotels in Springdale ranking.

Zion Lodge
$$$The one lodging option inside the park itself, run by the park concessionaire, with an on-site restaurant; it sells out, so book months ahead.
Desert Pearl Inn
$$$$Springdale's $$$$ standout, with river-view balconies, suites, and a pool and hot tub.
Cable Mountain Lodge
$$$A $$$ stay at the park entrance with kitchenettes and the Switchback Grille on-site.
A Short Drive Out: Rockville and La Verkin
Our lodging guide lists Rockville at about 2 miles from the park and La Verkin at about 22 miles. Rockville trades main-strip convenience for a quiet rural setting, while the La Verkin hotels sit right on the SR-9 route to Zion. We have no confirmed Yelp ratings for these two.

Farther Along the Corridor: Hurricane and St. George
Hurricane is the value and services town, covered in our Hurricane guide, and St. George, listed at about 40 miles, is the full city. You give up the walk-in access that Springdale offers in exchange for more choice and, generally, lower prices. See our St. George guide for the city itself.

Kanab is listed at about 40 miles east of Zion and works as a base for the east side of the park. Canyons Lodge is the stylish boutique option there. Read more in our Kanab guide.

Choosing a Base
None of the properties outside Springdale have confirmed Yelp ratings in our notes, so treat the choice as one of location and style rather than of score. The simple rule: the closer you are, the less driving you do, and the farther out you are, the more you tend to save. Our where to stay for Zion guide covers how the season changes the price, and the Springdale versus Hurricane decision guide takes the biggest trade-off head on. The complete list of towns is on the main Zion lodging page.
