Best of Zion

About Best of Zion

Best of Zion is an independent, firsthand guide to Zion National Park and the surrounding red-rock country - built from my own visits, my own photographs, and my own footage. Not stock photos. Not a rewritten brochure.

The person behind it

Hi - I'm Kevin, the founder of Best of Zion. I started this site to share the version of the park I keep coming back for. Every photograph and every video clip you'll find here is my own, shot on location across many trips through Zion, Springdale, Bryce Canyon, and the wider region.

This isn't a big travel brand or a content farm. It's a personal project by someone who genuinely loves this corner of Utah and wants to help you plan a trip that's worth the drive - with honest, practical advice and images that actually show what you'll see.

Everything here is original

That firsthand approach is the whole point of the site:

  • Original photography - hundreds of my own images from across the seasons, from snowbound December mornings to golden autumn cottonwoods. Browse the photography gallery.
  • Original video - I film the canyon, its wildlife, and the drives myself and publish them on the Best of Zion YouTube channel. You can watch them on the videos page.
  • Firsthand guides - trails I've hiked, seasons I've been through, and towns I've actually stayed in - written to save you time and second-guessing.
