Inside the Park: Watchman Campground

Watchman Campground

In Springdale
Zion Canyon Campground & RV Resort (Yelp 3.3 from 163 reviews) is the main private campground in town, on the Virgin River. It has tent sites, RV hookups and a few cabins. If you want to skip the park campgrounds and still walk to restaurants, this is the option.

Zion Canyon Campground & RV Resort
$The main private campground in Springdale, right on the Virgin River. Tent sites, RV hookups, and a few cabins. Walking distance to restaurants - the most convenient private camping if you want to avoid the park campgrounds.
Near the Gate, West and East
Zion's Gate RV Resort is a small park with 17 sites near the park gate, an indoor pool and a hot tub. Zion River Resort in Virgin is a full-hookup RV resort about 20 minutes from Springdale, with paved pull-through sites and a pool. On the east side, Zion White Bison Resort has full-hookup RV sites with water, sewer and electric, and Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort has RV sites alongside its cabins and glamping. Zion's Gate RV Resort

- Most convenient: Watchman, for the walk to the visitor center, or Zion Canyon Campground, for the walk to restaurants.
- Best for hookups: Zion River Resort and Zion White Bison list full hookups, and so does Zion's Gate RV Resort.
- Best for a small, quiet park: Zion's Gate RV Resort, with only 17 sites.
- Best for a mix of camping and cabins: Zion Canyon Campground or Zion River Resort.
