Budget Hotels Near Zion

Springdale is not the only place to sleep near Zion, and our guides point to cheaper alternatives elsewhere. Here are the cost-saving moves our guides point to, followed by the lower-priced properties they name. We list no nightly prices, because rates change; the $ signs below are the price tiers used on our lodging guide.

Five Ways to Spend Less

  1. Go in winter. Our planning guide says Springdale lodging is cheapest in winter. See Zion in winter for what that season looks like.
  2. Sleep outside Springdale. Hurricane and St. George are the budget alternatives named in our park overview, and you give up walk-in access to the park in exchange. See Springdale versus Hurricane.
  3. Take the free breakfast. Several of the properties below include breakfast, which trims your daily food cost.
  4. Book a kitchen. My Place Hotel in Hurricane has full in-room kitchens, so you can cook some meals yourself.
  5. Stock up in Hurricane. Our Hurricane guide notes that prices in Springdale run higher, so buy groceries on the way in.

In Springdale

The cheapest place to sleep in town is Zion Park Motel, which our lodging guide calls Springdale's most affordable option; it and the campground are the only $ properties in town. Bumbleberry Inn (Yelp 4.1 from 220 reviews) and La Quinta Inn & Suites are among the $$ options, alongside Under the Eaves Inn and Novel House Inn. Zion Canyon Campground & RV Resort (Yelp 3.3 from 163 reviews) is the low-cost pick if you camp; see our RV parks and campgrounds guide.

The Trade-Off

A low price usually costs you time. You will drive to the park instead of walking in, and the cheapest properties are basic. That is a fair trade if you plan to spend your days on the trail, and less so if you want to linger at the hotel. For a wider view, see best hotels near Zion and the full lodging guide.
